Travelling to Work

bicyclesThe means you use to travel to work can have a big effect on your overall green footprint, simply because you do it so often.

Jumping in the car to drive 5 miles through heavy traffic to your workplace might seem to be the most convenient thing to do, but environmentally it is not good. Your car will start cold, which means fuel usage is greatly increased, and because the traffic is heavy your fuel usage and the pollution generated continue to be high. Space is then needed to park your car at your workplace, and chances are the car sits idle all day until you go home.
