Ethical Fuel Companies

Recycling Cars & Other Vehicles

If your vehicle is not saleable, then there are plenty of scrap car processors who will dispose of your car for no fee. Make sure you choose an Authorised Treatment Facility (ATF), and that you obtain a Certificate of Destruction (COD) from them to enable you to cancel your road tax and vehicle registration from DVLC.

Tyres

Don’t just dump tyres, they should be returned to a member of the Responsible Recycling Scheme, or your local household recycling site, so they can be turned into a whole range of useful products.

Washing Your Car

A typical car wash uses less than half the water you would use to wash your car at home. Some car washes recycle water.

Lift Sharing

Motorcycles and Scooters

An electric scooter might be the answer to greener commuting.
