Synthetic fragrances used in cosmetics can have as many as 200 ingredients. The individual chemicals are not identified: the label will simply read "fragrance." Some problems caused by these chemicals include headaches, dizziness, rash, hyperpigmentation, violent coughing, vomiting and skin irritation.
