If you have just ripped out your old bathroom or kitchen don't just chuck away the pipes, sink, toilet etc. You can use them as planters, or sink them into the ground to stop plants like mint spreading out of control.

If your old bathroom was particularly Victorian (as opposed to that 70s avocado suite) you might be able to sell it to an architectural salvage yard. Old chimney pots are in particular demand, and the resale value can be £50-£100 or more.
