PET can be recycled by your usual methods – plastics recycling site, council collection etc.

There are two types of PET bottles produced: single use and re-fillable. Most are single use. After use they can be turned into PET shavings, which are then used as polyester fibres in clothing or sleeping bags, polyester sheets, new bottles and plastic strapping.

The amount of PET recycled increases year on year, and is now around 35%.
