No Dig Gardening

In the no-dig (sometimes called raised bed) method plants are grown in a nutritionally rich medium (manure, compost, leafmould etc.) on top of the normal soil. The layers of mulch also get rid of weeds in the soil below. Much less effort is needed as there is no back-breaking work to turn over the soil. It is a much more natural method of growing, and you can grow organically without the use of fertilisers and other chemicals.
