Choosing Credit Cards

credit cardsCharity credit cards are either issued for specific charities, with the backing of a bank or other major institution, or some banks allow the card holder to choose a charity. Charitycard is one site which allows you to do this, supported by Halifax / Bank of Scotland.

Typically, 0.25% of the amount you spend using the card is donated to charity. Interest rates and fees vary – just because it is a charity card doesn’t mean you’re getting a good deal, so check carefully.

Credit cards are usually made of PVC. The Co-operative Bank issues non-PVC cards, such as the Greenpeace credit card.
