Children and Green Issues

Children learn all the time, without even trying. The more you promote caring for the environment, and talk about green issues while they are children, the more natural it will seem to them to continue that behaviour when they grow up.
Good habits to get into include:
-
not throwing litter
-
picking up litter
-
visiting parks, farms and other open spaces
-
going on nature or adventure holidays
-
volunteering
-
visiting museums
-
visiting wildlife sanctuaries, safari parks, and zoos
-
thinking about recycling things
-
making things out of waste materials and packaging
-
cycling
-
eating real food (rather than pre-prepared food)
